ACTIVITIES

HORSEBACK RIDING

We make adventure vacations easy! Experience “The Ride Of A Lifetime.” What sets MBL apart from other guest ranches is the personal touch and attention that each and every guest will experience during their stay. We have guests with all levels of riding experience. Our wranglers will make sure that you are comfortable in your saddle and with each ride, you become more confident. Before you know it you will want to go on the All Day Ride and or join MBL’s popular overnight pack trip. Children and teens love riding here at Medicine Bow Lodge.

FISHING

We make adventure vacations easy! Experience “The Catch Of A Lifetime”  Medicine Bow Lodge and Adventure Guest Ranch is in a supreme area for fly fishing. Favorites include Turpin Reservoir, Lake Marie, Brush Creek, and N. or S Twin Lakes. All are easy access from the Ranch. We have equipment for our fishing enthusiasts, or you are welcome to bring their own personal equipment.

HIKING

We have many hiking opportunities for you here at Medicine Bow Lodge & Adventure Guest Ranch. Our staff will take you on a half-day hiking excursion. We will prepare you a delicious lunch and snacks for a fun-filled time. As you explore nature in these amazing surroundings you will be surrounded by our beautiful wildflowers and will also can take in some of the wildlife that inhabits the area.

ARCHERY/SKEET SHOOTING

We have the perfect area for some fun, safe target shooting. How about sharpening up those archery skills? We have an archery range that we will set up for you, and our staff will work with you to make sure you can get that elusive bulls-eye! It is just one of the many activities you and your loved ones can do together. And after that how does a long soak in our hot tub sound to soak those muscles after a day of adventure?

DINING

We mean it when we say, “Keeping It Real & Authentic”. Chef Debbie Bishop is unsurpassed in creating dishes with a unique flair for elegant, rustic gourmet dining. Chef Debbie’s talent is for building and blending succulent flavors while using only the finest fresh ingredients.  All meals are prepared fresh daily as it is Debbie and Tim’s desire that your dining experience is a relaxing, enjoyable opportunity for you to reconnect with your loved ones around the table. 

CAMPFIRE w/S'MORES

Evening campfires are among the memorable activities at the family-owned Lodge. Every evening you can sit by the campfire and have some S’mores – who doesn’t love S’mores? Evening entertainment provided!

Wildlife

You’ll find an incredible array of wildlife roaming freely at the park. Enjoying taking photos, but do be sure to keep a safe distance. Also, respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is their home. Guests will see Moose, Deer, Elk, Fox, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Falcons, and many other species of Birds throughout the Mountain Range and surrounding areas. The best time to see the Moose is mid-June-mid September and October before the snows come. Late May – end of June is best time to see the Elk. The Cinnamon Black Bears may be seen but cannot be predicted because this changes year after year.

Crazy Craft Camp

Guests enjoy a variety of crafts such as painting, painting t-shirts, etc. You can believe us when we say – you have never experienced a craft camp like ours here at Medicine Bow Lodge and Adventure Guest Ranch! This has become a guest favorite! It started out as one of our children’s activities, but the adults wanted to get in on the action too! Come see what the fuss is about! It can be an Adventure in itself!
